Blue Parrot Hotel on 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen exceeded our expectations in many ways. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the tourist area and within walking distance of all the attractions. We loved being able to explore the vibrant streets and then retreat to the comforts of the hotel whenever we needed a break.
Nothing to complain about, everything was great.

Breakfast in the deck was complimentary. Located in a beach area, a short walk to many landmarks of Playa del Carmen. The facilities such as a safe, a writing table and a chair were available. Totally recommended for strolling.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel on 5th Avenue, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. the location is fantastic, surrounded by a multitude of bars, restaurants, and shops, making it convenient to explore and indulge in the local gastronomy. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly, always ensuring that my needs were met. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the rooms, with marble floors and plenty of storage space. The small balcony was a delightful touch, allowing me to enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the street below. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, offering a variety of options to start the day on a good note.
My experience at this hotel was excellent and I have no complaints.

Fantastic location, Very clean and tidy room. Basic room but definitely a bargain for what we paid for it. Ac was great, and service was fantastic. Slightly noisy at night but you get that on 5th ave! Would reccomend this place as a nice budget option. Staff were really really friendly and helpful
A bit noisy but that is due to location. Wearing earplugs fixed the problem

Free accesess to blue parrot beach club
Wifi is available 2 blocks from the hotel (in the beach club) - The hotel is not on the beach as the pics from the web site can suggest - There is no pool for guest staying in the 5th av blue parrot - Break fast is poor - Its too expensive for the services they provide

Good location and functional rooms. Likes: the hotel is in a great spot with easy access to restaurants and shops. the rooms are basic, but they do the job. the air conditioning and hot water worked well, and the bed was comfortable. the cleaning staff kept the room tidy. the hotel also provided good wifi service.
Tiny and unclean rooms with no privacy in the bathroom. Dislikes: the hotel room was incredibly small with no space to move around.

The hotel is in the perfect location if you want to spend your vacation in the beach and partying for the night. Its in the middle of everything happening in Playa del Carmen.
The hotel maintenance staff started working at 8/9 am in the morning, so if your plan is to rest, I would not recommend this hotel. All that noise, that early in the morning, was really annoying.

Great location for partying and access to amenities on the strip. Comfortable rooms with good maintenance. Enjoyed the breakfast and affordable lunch at the restaurant.
The ear-shattering noise from the nightclubs can impact sleep and mood. Be prepared to stay out late or bring earplugs.

Near the clubs so it was very noisy. Service was crapy (worst service ever...and I'm travelling a lot for both personnal and business) First the front desk was closed when we arrived. We had to go down on the beach to the 2nd "front desk". Then in our room, air conditionning didnt work. They wanted to down scale us to a smaller room (but keeping the price as is). They When we asked to stay 1 more night, they said they would move us to an other room. After packing all our stuff they said finally they would leave us there. On Valentine day when we arrive at our room at 11pm air conditionning was broken and apparently they had no more room available so we decided to leave cuz we had enough but they wanted to charge us one penality night!!
Bad service, rooms pretty old and not well maintained, no "do not disturb sign" so cleaning lady would knock on your door in the morning, bad location very close to all the club strip so music would be very loud until 5am

The room had no hot water 2 of the days and no water pressure in the shower which took 2 days to fix. The included breakfast was very budget and the serving staff were only interested in tips even though the service was poor and the servers were unpleasant. Very loud until 4 AM. I would never stay again. We were in the hotel and had the best room but if you stay you will be much happier in one of the suites which are located a couple of blocks away. Very nice and much quieter.
No hot water.2 days to fix Poor water pressure. Very loud very late. Wait staff only out for tips which would be OK if they deserved them.

The location was perfect for celebrating New Year's Eve at Coco Bongo, with a short distance to walk back to the hotel. Right on 5th avenue, the hotel was central to all the restaurants and bars. The room size was big and comfortable, especially for the price. The friendly staff, including Mauricio at reception, were very helpful.
No negatives.

I loved the location! The actual hotel is so preatty, I liked it very much.
I wished it had ramps, I wonder how a wheelchair would make it up to the 3rd floor,. It would be nice if it had it's own beach.

The staff and the security guard. The rooms were very contemporary.
The paint drips on the floors......lol The club district nearby was a little bit loud......though its not really a problem if you are younger and will be out until 2am anyway. The bass really pounds but my boyfriend and I really didn't care. The first night was kind of strange but you feel really safe there.
